Javascript – controlling how your web page looks

Web pages have become more complex these days with many software tools available to developers making them dynamic and fluid. When the internet first become popular, most web pages were static html pages with little or no animation. Pages would load as if you opened a Word document. You may have seen a page title, some content with images and a few hyperlinks for navigation to other pages or websites. The pages were created using simple text editors and some knowledge or mastery of hypertext markup language known simply as HTML. As the internet evolved, so has web pages. Developers now create far more powerful, intuitive and highly interactive websites thanks to new web standards like CSS and scripting languages like Javascript. The open source movement has made it possible for developers to obtain freely available software for setting up web servers and scripting web pages.
