My name is Richard, and I am the artist behind RPM Art & Design. I have been painting and sketching for several years, with a special interest in watercolor landscapes and pencil-and-ink drawing. My work has been exhibited locally, and I have sold a number of original paintings.

My interest in art began at an early age. I have always enjoyed drawing from life, and over time photography has become an important part of my creative process. Many of my paintings and sketches are inspired by places I have visited, photographs I have taken, and the landscapes and everyday scenes that catch my attention while traveling.

Watercolor, pencil, and ink remain central to my artistic journey, but I am also exploring additional painting mediums, including oil, acrylic, and gouache. Working across different media allows me to build new skills, experiment with techniques, and choose the approach that best fits each subject, landscape, or creative idea.

Creating art provides a welcome balance to the structure and precision of my professional life as an engineer. Painting and sketching give me the opportunity to slow down, observe the world more carefully, and interpret a place or moment in a personal way.

Because I continue to work full time as an engineer, my studio time is often limited. When time allows, I continue to paint, sketch, travel, and add new work to my collection. Selected original works may also be available through local art fairs, exhibitions, and galleries.
